Kosol Energie Commissions 4 MW Solar Project for Mafatlal

Kosol Energie Pvt. Ltd., a leading Indian solar module manufacturer and EPC solutions provider, has partnered with Mafatlal Industries Limited to deploy a 4 MW solar power project at the company’s manufacturing facility in Nadiad, Gujarat, marking a significant step toward sustainable industrial operations.

The collaboration supports Mafatlal Industries’ transition to renewable energy as part of its long-standing commitment to innovation, modernization, and responsible business practices. The solar installation aligns with India’s broader clean energy ambitions while strengthening energy resilience within the textile manufacturing sector.

Under the agreement, Kosol Energie has installed a 4 MW ground-mounted solar power plant, designed to generate approximately 6.5 million units of clean electricity annually. The project is expected to substantially reduce dependence on grid-based power, lower carbon emissions, and provide long-term stability in energy costs for the facility.

The solar project plays a key role in Mafatlal Industries’ sustainability roadmap, enabling the company to decarbonise its manufacturing operations while enhancing operational efficiency and environmental performance.

Commenting on the development, Kalpesh Kalthia, Chairman & Managing Director of Kosol Energie, said the project reflects a shared commitment to clean and responsible manufacturing. He added that the collaboration highlights growing industry confidence in high-performance solar solutions for commercial and industrial applications.

Priyavrata Mafatlal, Managing Director of Mafatlal Industries, stated that sustainability has always been central to the company’s philosophy.
